Because leaky appliances go unnoticed

Sometime appliances like dishwashers and refrigerators with ice makers spring a small leak in the water supply connection and go unnoticed until it is too late. When water damage is left undiscovered for a long time, secondary damages can occur in a form of mold, bucking of floor and swollen cabinets. In this situation, the refrigerator water supply line to the ice maker failed and had a small leak that was not noticed until the flooring in from of refrigerator started to buckle. The customer called SERVPRO to find the source of the leak and mitigate the damages. 

Make sure to check your appliance water supply lines at least once a year!
