The tip of an iceberg

You know that expression, "the tip of an iceberg?" That's what this kitchen was. Harwood floor got damaged from a refrigerator line leak beyond the point of repair, so it needed to be removed for drying and replacement. As the technicians started to removed affected floor, they discovered more damage behind the refrigerator on the wall. As they continued the removal of affected areas, they continued to discover more and more damage - we were afraid that the whole kitchen will have to be gutted. We managed to save half of the floor and the countertops with half of the cabinets, but the rest had to go due to water and mold damage.

A friendly reminder - inspect your water supply lines to all appliances at least once a year.
